THREE THINGS by SAMMI MELANDER

BUG CITY

most of the Acroprolandia is waste :: detritus now

the scents encroach

of poison :: citric

my eggs my eggs

need :: BUG CITY

sanctum of peat :: forest of urns

ant peoples :: in the salad of rhizome

HOT THORAX IN YOUR AREA

easy to find :: the one who will destroy us here

many carcasses already

strewn :: the twizzled grass

we know that it was not always so

the dirt :: and crappage

because the sun

MAGNECTITUDE :: a chemical ephemera

ultraviolet singing from plant but

when you fly to there :: nothing grows

here :: BUG CITY

exists that song abundance

that leaf to scrax :: to suck on

flowers with the singeing taste

a refugee specie in each

crimping fern leaf

brown bug :: STINK bug got stuck in the bee jar for 78 days and he was standing there the

whole time and every time we thought he was dead he just walked

today there is a log of mulch :: we scrax it

lost a leg :: near the bee jar

but we can still do our scooting dance

we can cat face these tomaters :: get our faces shitted

there is STINK smell on the dew :: sound of bone cracking

but we scuttle

at dark :: SCREAM

the sun :: the sun :: my eggs

limerick that came through the ghost box during our seance in the backrooms

I run the cartwheel gang for LGBT

I kind of serve banshee on LSD

Slenderman leaked nudes and I gotta see ‘em

I’m acting so unchaste at the wax museum

and Senator: you’re locked in here with me
