Ralph Famularo (he/him) is an American-born, long-term foreign resident of Japan. He is an instructor at a Japanese university, teaching English and World Cultures/World Events. He was born in Jersey City, NJ and graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in English. He also holds a TESOL Masters degree from Temple University, Osaka, Japan campus. Currently 63 years old, he lives with his wife, Sachiko, in Kumatori, a town halfway between Osaka and Wakayama. As a retired stylist, Sachiko is very pleased that Ralph no longer wears striped shirts with polka-dot pants.
